Beautifully simple this toki made from Putiputi or Flower jade is highly prized in Māori culture. New Zealand Flower Jade Pounamu, a vibrant green with golden yellow and orange inclusions which is an oxidisation of the stone due to its high iron content. A very rare jade sourced in the Marsden region, South Island.

Toki are an adze or adze shape. Traditionally, the toki was a practical tool used for woodworking, carving, and even weaponry. Beyond its pracitcal use, the toki is a powerful symbol of strength and power and represents the ability to shape one’s life and overcome challenges.
