Description

Nephrite is the proper name but New Zealanders often call it Greenstone, or it’s Māori name Pounamu. This Inanga Pounamu was sourced in the Olderog Creek area which is a tributary of the Arahura River, a region known for its gold and jade mining history. Inanga jade is named after the freshwater native fish which is known to migrate from the moana (sea) to the awa (river).

Stunning light green jade created into Roimata. Roimata, meaning “tears” in Māori, is more than just a shape; it embodies deep emotions and is seen as a touchstone for healing and shared empathy.
